I gave five stars as I am from a rural area and this is my only news source. I like concise news, not a lot of unnecessary unrelated details. I think WLWT is that source of good reporting and have a interest not only of urban Cincinnati, but rural counties news as well.
Im a college student who lives social media but not necessarily the news. And I have really became to realize how much we need to pay attention to the news! And this app from channel five is the most useful app on my phone.
This is the only app I use for weather updates and the radar. Its the best radar Ive found. You can even turn on warnings that overlay on the map.
Great app. Extremely informative and versatile. I use it daily to get the latest local news, about traffic and weather as well.
The first place I go for news in Cincy is this app. Usually I avoid the ads if possible because I dont want to take the time to wait. So Ill skip that news story but there is enough news to catch up on.
I love the channel 5 news app. Because I can always get breaking news anytime. But my only complaint is I wished that you would take some of the older stories off and put some of the newer ones one. Other than that its great. Thanks
Some bad moments
I hate that video automatically starts playing when you select a story in the updated version. Even with my phone on mute commercials blast out at top volume (scaring the crap out of my dog). Also, the news is broken down by category, but the same stories are repeated again and again in different categories. I liked the old version much better.
I dont like watching 30 seconds or more of advertisement for a 2 min video. I would rather ready the story then watch it.
I dont like how when you click on a story it starts playing video news footage. I have the app to read the stories. Im deleting it. I loved the old app now Fox19 is better
Go back to former app, please! Categories are repetitive and sometimes hard to read whole story.
Quickly getting to todays forecast is a chore; I have to go through quite a few unnecessary steps.
Why would you push a notification for one of the most anticipated events of this Olympics (womens team gymnastics)? Im not putting the results here to ruin for others but Im deleting this app
This app totally blows. Forced to stomach ads as soon as a story is selected. Whats more, there are no options to mute said ads. Dumping this silly app and installing one thats designed to offer annoyance-free news, Local 12.
